The Lung Sound Monitor was developed by Thora Tech for the company Löwenstein Medical SE & Co. KGand is marketed there under the name LEOSound.

LEOSound is an innovative, clinically validated Diagnostic System for the quantitative and objective recording of cough and wheezing events over a period of up to 24 hours.

For the first time, this offers the possibility to record, replay and automatically analyze Breathing Sounds and Coughs in a long-term Procedure.

Changes in normal Lung Sounds are an important indicator of pathological Processes in the Bronchial System and Lungs. To clarify unclear Symptoms such as shortness of Breath, wheezing and coughing, a qualitative and quantitative long-term Recording of Lung sounds can be useful. 

Thanks to the simple handling, an objective symptom clarification for the Diagnosis and Therapy of bronchial Asthma is also possible without any problems in the pediatric field.

In addition, LEOSound enables progress monitoring of drug treatments, for example of asthmatic Children and Adults. 

The System is an excellent Supplement to classic auscultation with the Stethoscope and, thanks to the docking Station provided, can also be used in the outpatient setting without any Problems.
