Software Developer (M/F/D) - Embedded C in Medical Technology

Thora Tech GmbH is dedicated to the research, development and manufacturing of innovative technologies and procedures for respiratory and cardiovascular diagnosis and therapy, in the eHealth sector and telemedicine.

Under the slogan "Physiology meets Engineering", we have established a comprehensive range of services for the manufacturing and development of medical devices in compliance with regulatory requirements at the Anwenderzentrum für Medizintechnik der TH-Mittelhessen in Gießen. In close cooperation with industrial partners and clinical users, numerous demand-oriented product and process innovations in the field of medical technology have been and are being realized.

We have already attracted worlwide attention with a specially assigned form of ventilation in ENT, pneumology and thoracic surgery. Our own jet ventilation products are developed and manufactured in Gießen.

Your field of responsibilities

• Entwicklung von Embedded Software mit einem hohen Qualitätsstandard für medizintechnische Geräte
• Analysis of Technical Requirements, Creation of System and Software Requirements 
• Mitwirkung an der Software-Architektur inklusive Spezifikation von Softwarekomponenten und Schnittstellen
• Planung, Erstellung und Durchführung von Unit-, Integrationstests sowie Continuous Integration und Hardware in the Loop Simulation (HiL)
• Source Code / Repository Usage, Maintenance and Management (GIT / Bitbucket)
• Erstellung und Pflege technischer Dokumentationen mit Confluence / Jira und Office Anwendungen

Your Profile

• Abgeschlossenes Studium im Bereich Medizintechnik, Embedded Systems, Informatik, Technische Informatik, Elektrotechnik, oder in einem vergleichbaren Fachbereich
• Extensive Knowledge of Programming with and experienced use of C and Design Patterns as well as Design Standards such as MISRA-C
• Erste Erfahrungen in der Programmierung mit C im Bereich Embedded Software sind wünschenswert
• Von Vorteil sind Kenntnisse und Erfahrungen im Bereich der Medizinprodukteregularien (DIN EN 62304, ISO 13485)  und  zu  modernen QS-Praktiken und QS-Tools (statische Codeanalyse, Codereviews, u.ä.)
• Personal Initiative and Willingness to continuously acquire needed Knowledge
• Fluency in written and spoken German and English
